As a Canadian police officer with over ten years of frontline and investigative experience, I continue to gain valuable insight into the criminal underworld. Unfortunately, there is a significant gap in the public’s knowledge of emerging crime tactics, and how to thwart them and best assist law enforcement in their efforts to investigate and solve crimes.
This initiative will provide the public with the knowledge and tools to stay safe and secure in a rapidly evolving world riddled with criminal enterprises, competing for our hard-earned money. The path of destruction left by their actions affects us all directly and/or indirectly. In addition to public safety education, we will give back to communities through philanthropic work.
It is a shame that improving public safety is only prioritized when there is widespread fear and outrage as a result of persistent crime trends and sensational crime occurrences, and when those directly and indirectly affected by crime demand action.
The challenge with the delivery of public safety services is that there is a growing population that competes to garner access to the limited and constrained law enforcement resources. Some factors that increase the burden placed on law enforcement agencies include an increased quantity and severity of crime, changes in the political and economical landscape, and an increasing scope of policing responsibilities. To keep up with these factors, public safety agencies are going to have to continue to leverage technologies to “do more with less.” Although individual private entities can hire private security to thwart and investigate crimes, it will inevitably increase their costs while bearing the challenges of limited authority and liability to enforce criminal law.
Value Proposition for the Audience
In a world where public sector resources are operating under strict governance and at the mercy of heavily scrutinized and constrained budgets, being armed with personal safety and security knowledge is essential to one’s well-being and growth. This website aims to deliver public safety content that will allow its audience to take a proactive, instead of reactive, approach to safeguarding their well-being and assets.
Similar to how criminals have become agile and innovative in their techniques to illegally acquire money, the general public must equally fight to protect their assets without putting themselves in harm’s way.
